Bernice 'Bernie' C. Martin, 86, of 121 N. Grove Street, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls with St. Joseph's Hospice.
She was born on August 1, 1923, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Reinhart and Sylvia (Beaudoin) Schulz.
On December 2, 1944, she married James P. Martin at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls.
Bernice had worked at the Northern Center for the Developmentally Disabled for 22 years.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Christian Mother's Society.
Bernice is survived by: one son Patrick (Mary) Martin, of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Cheryl (William) Korn of Chippewa Falls and Michelle (Daniel) Rothbauer of Colfax; three brothers, Edward (Millie) Schulz, Donald (DeDe) Schulz, and Leo (Cindy) Schulz all of Chippewa Falls; three sisters, Fern Eder, Lillian Johnholtz and Ruth (William) Beaudette all of Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband James P. Martin; her parents, two brothers, John and Richard Schulz and three nephews; Dan, Jeff and Greg Schulz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 15 at St. Peter's Church, town of Tilden. Deacon Daniel Rider will be officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetary, Tilden.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 and until 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
'Grandma B. was the best Mom in the whole wide world.
She will be sorely missed by her family'.
